Therapeutic Fostering Support Worker

CFS Care Fostering are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and highly motivated therapeutic family support workers to support our fostering families.  

The support worker must be flexible able and willing to travel to our carers across the North West to offer support our foster families. (Specifically Wirral/ Liverpool area).

Successful candidates will be provided with full therapeutic training to enable them to offer support, guidance to foster carers caring for children from 0-18 years. The successful candidate will be part of a therapeutic team consisting of social workers and therapists to ensure fostering households are offered high quality therapeutic support.

Support Worker Leaving Care – Oldham

Salary: £12 PH
Shifts: 24 hr, 7 shifts per month (basic fulltime contract)
Shifts are not waking nights; you will be paid your full rate per hour for your sleep
Shifts are 24 hours based on a rolling rota of 1 on 3 off, 10:00 – 10:00.
Overtime available

Role Overview

  • Be part of a multi-agency team of professionals
  • Lone working with the service user
  • Sleep in shifts
  • Promoting, supporting and empowering young people to engage in education, training or employment
  • Developing life skills for example, meal preparation, house cleaning, washing, what to do in emergency situations, financial planning

Team Leader Support Worker Leaving Care-  Oldham

Salary: £27,000 per year
Shifts: 24 hr, 6 shifts per month (basic fulltime contract), plus 6 hrs floating each week for team lead duties
Shifts are not waking nights
Shifts are 24 hours based on a rolling rota of 1 on 3 off, 10:00 – 10:00.

Supervising Social Worker- Manchester

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week, Permanent contract

Salary: £35000 -£40,000

CFS Care is an organisation that supports children and young people in care and moving towards adulthood. We are currently looking for a supervising social worker to join our Ofsted graded “Good” Fostering Service.

This is an exciting time to be joining CFS Care as we continue to grow our fostering service. You will need to be a passionate and enthusiastic qualified social worker with at least two years’ experience as a supervising social worker to be considered for this role. You will have experience of working with children and young people in care or within a safeguarding environment.

The key purpose of the supervising social worker is to support and guide a foster carer in every aspect of the fostering experience considering the legislative and regulatory framework and national minimum standards. You be involved in the recruitment, assessment, training and monitoring of carers and supporting them to care for the children in a safe, nurturing environment. You will play a crucial role as part of the team around the child.

This role is home based at this time, and you will be joining a small friendly team, part of the CFS Care Family.

Independent Form F Assessor

Here at the CFS Care Fostering we are recruiting a qualified Social Worker to carry out Foster Carers’ Form F assessments in the Northwest area.

 

The ideal candidate will be experienced in conducting Form F Assessments, self-motivated and share our ongoing commitment to providing excellence in the quality placements we provide for the children and young people in our care.

We offer competitive fees of £2000.00 per-assessment, plus, mileage.

Our independent Form F Assessors receive ongoing support, supervision, and opportunities for practice development.

To become a Form F Assessor, you’ll need:

  • To be a qualified social worker
  • At least three years’ post qualification experience of undertaking relevant assessment work, preferably fostering assessments.
  • A good knowledge of the fostering regulations, childcare law and safeguarding issues is essential.
  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You will need to be flexible and have the capability to use your initiative and work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met and to enable the smooth running of our agency.
  • Be registered with Social Work England
  • Have a current DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • Have relevant insurances.
  • Have your own transport and be willing to travel to the applicant’s home.
  • Attend virtual panel whilst with the applicants in their homes.
  • You will be required to undertake statutory, and company checks as part of the recruitment process.
