Paul and I joined the CFS Care foster family in September 2022. We now have a sibling group of 3 boys aged between 5 – 10 living with us.

They are currently going through care proceedings, but the Local Athority’s plan is for long-term foster care. If this is what the court’s decide, then we are hoping to provide them with a long-term home as part of our family, they have already settled in so well.
Our most memorable part of our journey so far was meeting our boys, they came straight in, saw our garden and ran straight out to play, you would have thought they had been here for ages. Seeing them play with smiles on their faces was the best feeling ever.
Another memorable moment was when our fabulous social worker Camilla completed our assessment, reading it was like being on “This is your life” program.
The best piece of advice I would give to other people who want to become foster carers is to come join our family at CFS Care they give you all the support you need, and they are only at the end of the phone if you need anything, they are a 24/7 Agency.
Fostering is something I’ve always wanted to do and as my children are grown up and left home, we have plenty of space, my daughter is at university and comes home some weekends.
Our favourite part about fostering so far is making memories with our 3 little boys, it’s the little thing that make the magic happen. When they come into the room and give you a hug and say they are happy we like to take them to different places and do things they have never done.
