CFS Care Fostering received a second glowing report from Ofsted. Receiving “Good” across all areas is a testament to the emphasis on quality that CFS has implemented, not only within fostering but across all entities of the organisation. In relation to the results of the report, Kim York, CEO, at CFS Care said: “The decision by Ofsted to again grade our service good in all areas should not be underestimated and it is evidence to all the hard work and dedication of our carers and entire staff team. Kim continued; “The agency works continually on providing excellent ‘wrap around support’ to our carers 24/7 and this in term enables our children and young people to have stable and secure placements, this was highlighted in report as follows:”
Placement stability is a strength of the agency and is supported by regular activities, such as trips to the theatre, enjoyable days out, meals out and parties, which are open to all children living in households. Unplanned endings are extremely rare. When placements become fragile, the agency works well with placing authorities and carers to ensure that carers and children receive additional support and intervention at the right time. When placements have ended, staff work with the new placement and local authorities to enable a smooth, child-sensitive transition. CFS Care’s fostering services cover the North West of England with an emphasis on meeting the needs of children within the area. We are always looking to recruit carers all across the North West and would welcome an opportunity to talk to you further on the reasons why you should join our agency if you are either looking to become a foster carer for the first time or wish to transfer agency as an approved foster carer.
